Charlie, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Lafayette, Louisiana

Location:
Lafayette, LA
Description:

Lap Kitty Alert! Charlie is the sweetest tripod with the cutest sleeping positions and a wonky upper lip that just adds to her charm. She enjoys playing with interactive toys, but her favorite thing is to snuggle and receive kisses. She is happiest snoozing her day away on someone's lap. Charlie is not fond of the other cats at WildCat Foundation and has not been around dogs, but that does not mean she needs to be the only pet in the house. With proper acclimation she should be able to warm up to other animals. Charlie needs an adopter who will appropriately manage her weight and keep her active. It’s important not to overfeed tripods, as too much body weight will make it much more difficult for them to remain active and navigate their surroundings on 3 legs. It is more difficult for three-leggers to run or climb to get away from predators, so it’s best for them to be indoor-only cats. *** If you'd like to make this pet part of your family, please fill out an online application today: https://form.jotform.com/211746872887169 ***~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Would you like to help us with the financial cost of the pets in our care? You can donate here via PayPal: https://tinyurl.com/2p8cx966 and your donation is tax-deductible. THANK YOU!Adoption processAs a Trap-Neuter-Return group, we cannot process cats for intake to a shelter setting. The cats and kittens we offer for adoption are the result of rescue during "TNR" wherein they were caught in a humane trap for spay or neuter. Friendly cats and kittens young enough to be socialized are put into the adoption system when we determine that they would be safer as household pets. Healthy feral (wild) cats are returned to the trap site to rejoin their colony under the lifelong care of dedicated volunteers. It is Wild Cat Foundation's policy that all cats and kittens, without exception, be altered prior to adoption. In addition, all prospects have been tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and are current on all vaccinations and treatment for parasites. It is our policy to require an adoption application and interview of all prospective adoptive families. We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason. Our goal is to make sure everyone is happy! Once an adoption takes place, a Wild Cat Foundation volunteer may follow up within one or two weeks--to check on the progress of the pet and to learn how he is adjusting to his new home. Also, we are glad to hear from our new pet parents at any time, especially if there are any problems or concerns.ADOPTION APPLICATIONS:- for cats: https://form.jotform.com/211746872887169- for dogs: https://form.jotform.com/230546381070147
